No. 888. Would you rather go back and get to do high school all over again or have all your debt paid off?
“GET TO” do high school all over again? I’ve heard there are people who think of high school as their glory days, but I not only don’t think of high school that way, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to return to their high school years. There are dear friends I knew in high school who are dead now, and I wish they were alive, healthy, happy, and only as far away as a phone number. I knew good people in both my high schools and had a lot of fun along with my teen angst, but NO. PLEASE, Magic Genii, if you must yield your power on my behalf, take my debt away. I’d rather live unencumbered by debt now than live in the past. I’m fine with my gray hair and wrinkles.
Oh no. I wouldn’t want to go through England nor American High School all over again; however, if I had to, I would stick with my high school in England then the prison American High School was. Also, it would have to be Hogwarts or Heartstopper. I would go back to college/university though.
If I had my way, students in University don’t go into debt. Employment after graduation is easier, respectful and everyone just works and lives together in peace and harmony. I sure ask for a lot, don’t I? It took the world to stop on a dime (covid lockdowns) and yet continued employment for me to finally get all that student debt over. It shouldn’t have taken so long, the road was long and not smooth. Those ignorant rich and powerful never get it.
I paid off a lot of college debt for myself and helped with the same for two husbands. That’s why I’m all for forgiving college debt. Nobody should be saddled with that when they’re trying to start a career and often a family (not to mention renting or buying a home). In this century, student loans have been managed by lenders in such a way that debt carries a much greater burden than I had to endure, but even so, repaying that debt had a big impact on my life.
Pay off debt. There is nothing attractive about going back to high school. Nothing. Being debt free is very attractive!
Yes!
Yeah, school definitely wasn’t the best years of my life.
I think a large percentage of people agree with you. I used to think, when I was told, “These are the best years of your life!” that it was hardly a selling point in any way.
If I could go back and relive a decade of my life, it would be my 30s.
I always say the thirties are the best years. Twenties are too turbulent. I began to settle into who I am and stop acting crazy in my thirties. The forties were good, too, though there was too much loss.
Same here. My thirties were definitely my best decade – and I was still young!
On the plus side, you’ll ALWAYS be younger than I am. I think you and Tim are the same age, and I still think of him as the age he was when we met…
I’m still seventeen in my head.
All those different people we’ve been stay with us, don’t they? For good or ill.
