We have lots of friends in Houston still without power. So far, our power has stayed on, and we do have cold water, but no hot water in the house. The weather will get worse before it gets better, so we are hoping we can keep power.
Other than writing, I’ve been working hard at organizing my doll collection. A lot has been accomplished on that front, but I’m still not finished. Tom has been moving dolls around for days.
These three Kawasaki Ninja cycles make me want to PLAY. But it’s work time.

I have just been reading about the unusual weather you guys are getting! Try to keep warm and safe. It just keeps on raining here…
Thank you. We have gone through a few blackouts of various durations, and it hasn’t been pleasant, but we’re okay. We have a burst water pipe in our attic that needs a plumber, but the plumbers are busy! So it may be a while before we have hot water, and we are under a boil water notice for all water, but we are creative and dealing with it.

After having a power failure in a snowstorm in the mountains years ago , I can still remember how much I shivered wrapped up in heavy coats and bed spreads! Try to stay safe, wrapped up and warm!

Thank you for the links to both articles. Texas will be better off when “leaders” stop politicizing everything and work to make things good for all its residents. That’s a different kind of leadership than just “keep me getting fat and happy in office forever.”
