Button Sunday
…I hardly know her…
I like this button, but it’s really a reminder to myself of what I want to post about next.

Could you be referring to the upcoming Tim Burton/Johnny Depp Alice in Wonderland?
Hmmmmm, as far as I can see, it looks to be what we who have studied English literature might call as “fucked up” as the book itself. This will be a first, I think. 🙂
Probably not. I’m giving snap impressions, not trying to engage in guessing games. That way lies madness! :/
Just riffing off Becky’s post, along with other stuff recently seen. I’m prepared to be utterly wrong — it happens a lot! If I’m not an insider, the images are out of context. At that point, it’s just an inkblot. People start projecting onto it whatever is lurking in their own psyches.
I just saw the “Alice” trailer. I’m not Becky’s intimate friend, to understand what she’s posting about. You are an intimate friend. So it’s an inkblot, open to interpretation.
Isn’t it an inkblot, as are her books to any non-insider readers? Any book has to stand on its own. Readers will project onto it what they will, just as viewers do with paintings.
I’m not trying to be confrontational, because I hate that kind of shit. *is chagrined and embarrassed*

Opium dreams, anyone?
“Opium dreams, anyone?”
Could be. Opium is making a comeback.
This button, I do not think it means what you think it means.
