Almost a year ago, Cheyenne, a high heartworm positive dog, was misdiagnosed with a terminal illness related to her heartworm disease. The best option to keep her from suffering was euthanasia. But her foster mom just had a feeling and begged for a little more time.
After Cheyenne gave birth to a litter of stillborn puppies, her turnaround was remarkable. It was obvious she didn’t have the disease the doctors feared she had. With good food, heartworm treatment, and lots and lots of love, Cheyenne thrived. She is now heartworm negative and on her way to a forever family in Colorado. Thank goodness for people who believe and hope and are willing to put all the resources they can, including their own fragile hearts, their money, and their time, into making a miracle happen. Thank you, Michelle, from the bottom of my heart.
Happy life, Cheyenne!
