Who would have guessed Iowa is cooler and more progressive than California? IOWA!
sad, sad, sad
The first ruling, I shed some serious tears… I was living in CA at the time and for some reason I felt even more persecuted and discriminated against. This time I donated to the HRC and hoped for the best but seriously had no expectations about it.
It still surprises me that people would use their religion as a reason to hate. Or that they think that their religion in some way factors into my relationship and a “contract” with the state we may want.
I still can’t get over my anger and sadness. I used to be proud to be from CA…not any more.
