Hot dog – mustard only.
Hamburger – cheese, bacon, fried onions, barbecue sauce (though I suppose most of those are toppings rather than condiments!).
No relish. EVER. Not a fan.
I’m not a relish fan, either, except dill relish in potato salad or tuna salad. I add mustard and ketchup to hot dogs, but I have no consistency with how I dress my burgers.
I had a phase for tarter sauce on hot dogs, but now I just put sharp white cheddar and Grey Poupons.
Hamburgers: bacon, white cheddar, pineapple and teriyaki sauce
I don’t use relish for anything, but I do like pickles found only in the refrigerated section that don’t glow in the dark from all that food coloring. Pickled onions are also very good.
I love good dill pickles. Lately, I seem to enjoy them more than I used to. And yes, I like the crisp, refrigerated ones best.
For hot dogs – I consider chili a condiment …. other than that nothing. I likes ’em plain!
Mustard and ketchup only for my dogs.
I go for horseradish mustard and sweet pickle relish on my hot dogs, and Sweet Vadalia onions and Sweet Red Pepper relish on my burgers.
I can’t eat horseradish! It’s just too hot for me. Love onions on my homemade burgers, but it depends on the restaurant what I like added to the burgers I buy elsewhere.
I have to say I like barbecue sauce (ketchup really, but who am I to criticise the marketers?) – the type with a ‘woodsmoke’ flavour.
