Yes…the heat does zap all of my energy….but being cold in winter…that just makes me an unpleasant bitch. (No dog pun intended). I don’t know how I survived the couple of snow/ice storms we had while living in Nashville! (Even more ponderous is how I didn’t kill Rick during those storms!)
I can’t imagine living where it’s freezing or snowy all the time. I like more temperate weather. I’ve heard the ideal climate is San Diego, but I don’t have the perfect bank account for it!
When Mlle. Renee is out in the yard too long on a hot day, she will knock on the back door to come in the house and snooze in the AC. Today, she actually asked me to come in my room and lay down on the bed. When I did, she jumped on the bed next to me for a cool nap.
I’ve always liked the way that dog thinks. Basement in a storm: check. Co-exist with squirrels: check. No snakes allowed: check. Hang out in the kitchen for a taste of this and that: check. Appreciate air conditioning and naps: check.
Plus Renee likes my pillows and sends me presents. Does she need anything from Texas?
I’m totally with her! I dread winter. But I DID get an awesome hoodie at the NIN concert so I’ve got that to look forward to. 🙂
Oh, man, it’s the heat that wipes me out. Though it hasn’t been as a bad a summer this year as in years past.
