Is this good news? Who knows. I’ve had a novel (four, really, but I’m speaking only of this one) rumbling around in my brain for a long time. This morning I woke up and realized I could never get started because I killed the wrong person before the novel begins. Now that I’ve changed my mind about who’s dead, I suddenly have an entirely different novel–maybe one that I’ll actually write instead of just think about.
We’ll see.
It’s a good thing I wasn’t in one of your novels, and, fortunately, I have yet to cross paths with Jessica Fletcher. Survival of the fittest, but not enough to win the lottery.
You know how some writers fade to black when it comes to sex scenes? I think the TJB writers and I fade to black when it comes to death. It happens between novels and before novels, but I don’t think it’s happened during a novel.
Yet.
Oops–I have to correct myself. Someone does die as part of the story during Three Fortunes in One Cookie. I blame Tim.
Well that is interesting, and I am a little excited.
