A dinosaur guards this house. April Fools! It’s only an anole passing through.

Since the landlord decided these apartments could — finally — do with a lick of paint, the dirt and wind weathered beige paint and dead wood colors just don’t hide these preying mantis anymore. The buildings are all in a colour pallet like an olde fashioned B&W TV now. So that slice of bright green on black painted iron is just as cleverly hidden as the preying mantis is crawling on the white walled tunneled entrance walkway is. But, they still have to try the hunt, and they still somehow rather well guard my doorway from flying bugs at the doorway light.

The anole did slowly begin to darken while he was on the black fence. He didn’t stay long, though. Things to do, places to go… =)
