Photo Friday, No. 942

Current Photo Friday theme: Puddle.

A little backyard fun after a few days of rain. This made me think of the movie Convoy, in which Kris Kristofferson played the truck-driving Martin “Rubber Duck” Penwald, Rubber Duck being the handle (name) he used on his CB radio. I had a CB radio in my car, my own handle, and a lot of fun and helpful conversations with truck drivers on the road at night.

Kris Kristofferson as “Rubber Duck.”

That movie soundtrack brings back memories, too.

  1. The duck, the brown eyes blue and the truck have been three seemingly random things until now. The first two being in my childhood and the third around my college years.

      1. I held the cue card aloft, but Dirk Gently must be on another case exclaiming, “Everything is connected!” He’s speeding down a residential Seatle road, dodging cars like raindrops while explaining to what’s-his-name, Todd who grabs the wheel to dodge a guy in the street, a guy who later turns out to be a clue, a Thing.

But, they were clearly too busy to read a mere cue card on connectivity here. 😉

You never know, it could have happened at an airport before the fire.
