When we were out shopping earlier in December, Tom and I chanced upon these two mini playsets. (They ended up in my Christmas stocking.)
One with an RV and the other with a convertible, for ages four and up. Believe it or not, I have a couple of characters in the Neverending Saga who have become fast friends and are ages five and four; they like playing with dolls; both have fathers who go on the road as musicians; and one has a mother who drives a convertible. A perfect way for them to comfortably imagine new adventures.
Wishing all of you a safe and satisfying new year’s eve, however you spend it, and a great new year to come.
Attention low-life management who didn’t listen to us, Engineers: A cute camper van cannot possibly be safe if its wheels are attached to its doors!!
In other news, I’ve been doing the Star Wars movies this break, and New Year’s Eve’s is Episode 4: A New Hope. Actually, I’m liking more now the watching of the pre-quills, Solo and Rouge One, before watching Episode 4. Even though the Empire Strikes Back was my introduction to all of these, it was the yard sale that little me found a camper van dollhouse playset whose wheels were properly attached and not only served as a Star Wars rebel base against my little brother, it held little me as a boxy ride down the sidewalk.
Enjoy your film festival! Even if badly engineered, the wheels on the van go round and round. (You are most welcome for the earworm.)
