What’s up, Thursday?

Same old thing. Not enough sleep. Should have eaten breakfast sooner. No interest in reading all the post-mortems because everybody’s a political genius after the fact. Mopped the library. Finished a coloring page from that book on the right. Thinking of a woman I know who loves horses. (A real person I used to work with, not a character.) Suspect there’ll be a lot of coloring in days to come.

Must sleep. Perchance to dream. May it be something to inspire my writing.

  1. Pretty horse. It immediately reminded me of Charlie the Unicorn. God I used to laugh so hard at that. Something amusing to think about.

    1. I still go back and watch those videos sometimes. Maybe what we need now is new Charlie content. Also, Jim has a “Charlie” story that made me laugh that I’m trying to remember. I asked him about it, and now he’s trying to remember. 😂

        1. I’ll listen to that next. My other comment about the daniel-françois auber piece won’t post under your comment, but only down in the thread. I made five attempts, at least.

    1. I’ve heard this piece and didn’t know what it was. And a French composer! Listening to it now and also read about the connection to Mozart’s Così fan tutte. (This is my third attempt at sending this response. It keeps going to the wrong place.) I tried three more times. “WHAT IS WRONG with the universe?”–Phoebe Buffay

      1. There was definitely something wrong with the Universe this month, but yesterday was definitely a day of anything-that-could-go-wrong-shall-go-wrong-with-preferences-to-those-things-that-cause-the-most-frustration/irritation/anger/quittings-possible-hopefully-in-a-single-day.

I tried to get all kinds of things done, but horse theme songs was the best I could do to get anything correct. I just couldn’t decide which horse song, of course.

So, the fact that I did post horse song titles could only lead to you not being able to reply to the correct one is because I posted them on a day like that! Murphy Law, I hope you’re satisfied (mainly so that the Universe will resume behaving itself once more, knock, knock.)

      2. Anyway, I have a record with that song on it conducted by John Williams and performed by the Boston Pops. They called the album “Pops Around the World: Digital Overtures” which bothered me, because it’s a record. They were actually talking about how the performances were recorded and processed before playback through the record stamp making machines.

It’s a Philips label 6514186. Someone gave it to me, with a $1.00 sticker and a sticker that says “He who offers this record for sale infringes copyright” on the back. So, I guess I can’t sell it.
