So far, the dogs my parents had and have love laying under a booth styled bench at the kitchen table. Why? Because one of the furnace output vents blow there. Also their humans eat food above their cozy warm sanctuary.
That’s like a double dog sundae with treats on top! Heat and food: their two greatest loves.

I can always remember our cat and our dog enjoying my parents’ gas fire – the cat on one side of the hearthrug and the dog on the other side of the hearth rug – and never the twain did meet!
Cats and dogs have so many ways to coexist and communicate–and some become genuine friends to each other.
