Photo Friday, No. 901, and Song Challenge: Day 22

Current Photo Friday theme: Color

Happy birthday to my friend Lisa K, she of so many talents (she sings! she paints! she’s a computer wizard! she’s funny! she’s smart!), a tiny dynamo packaged inside a beautiful smile, mesmerizing green eyes, and striking red hair. I’m dedicating today’s song challenge to her.

The theme is “a song that moves you forward.” It’s time I showed the Foo Fighters some love and also reminded myself that “Something From Nothing” expresses how the creative spark and process are often motivated by an underlying rage. Use it; don’t let it drag you down.

  1. if I conbine photo Friday, I would pick true colours.

I keep hearing I can move, mooovvee, mmmmmooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee any mountain, like reving engines.

    But, lately with the 80’s-90’s themed temporal season, there’s pump up the volume – m a r r s

    1. It’s kind of funny, as I was doing this challenge, that I remembered something someone said to me once about certain posts I’ve done on this site (not in any way related to music): “Oh, I just skip over those posts; they don’t interest me.”

You’ve never once made me feel the way that comment made me feel, even when our interests differ. Thank you for that.

      1. Oh no, I may not be so interested in something, but still appreciate the enthusiasm someone else has for it.

A friend of mine never shows any interest in the plays I am rehearsing for or appearing in. I get that it may not be his thing, but he could still ask how’s it going? I used to find it hurtful – now I simply don’t mention what I am doing.

        1. Yep, I get that. And once we start censoring ourselves, we have to decide how much energy we want to give that relationship. It is hurtful.
