So far, it’s not the tropical storm of a year of rain in a day; it’s more like half a year of rain over a week/weekend. The other half has yet to fall on us. I stayed inside all day, but this evening I ventured outside for dinner just for the change. So far, the paved streets are their usual ponds and nothing like a firetruck going over the overflowing wash –yet!
Glad it’s less than feared!
I have acquired an acquaintance in CA – and it always seems to be raining or stormy there! I was led to believe that the sun always shone in CA!
What part of California? I think Southern California doesn’t have as much rain, and it’s a standing joke (which Californians enjoy as much as anyone) that any forecast that includes rain, no matter how light, sends them into widespread panic.
Somewhere south, but in the mountains – which may explain the weather?
