Today is National Pizza with the Works Except Anchovies Day. I’m not sure I’ve ever known anyone who eats anchovies on pizza. They were part of an ex-boyfriend’s homemade Caesar salad dressing, and they didn’t bother me, so it wasn’t anchovies that broke us up. =)
What’s your favorite pizza AND do you feel passionate enough about no pineapple on pizza to wonder why there’s not a National Pizza with the Works Except Pineapple Day? (For all I know, there could be.)
Today is my nephew Daniel’s birthday, and if he were here, I’d make him any kind of pizza he wanted. EVEN if he wanted anchovies or pineapple. Happy birthday, Daniel!
Daniel might want a pizza of the “mild” variety.
Mild is my specialty. =)
I like pineapple on my pizza, but I am passionate about actually having pizza sauce on my pizza under that layer of cheeze that I eventually pick off! So, that eliminates Pizza the Hut, which to me is just a flat fried donut covered in cheeze.
There was a place in DC that has amazing sauce and cheese ratio that complements the rest of the toppings so well, but COVID closed them down.
I was contemplating pizza for dinner around 2 PM today, and I think that’s just what I’ll do.
I’m in the moOO-OOood for
danc-ingpiz-zaDid you? What toppings?
I went to Papa Johns and got the works pizza without peppers. I was highly tempted to see that tall, smiling around the braces yet still cute, dark eyed and curly dark haired, yet lightly tanned skater build guy behind the counter, cringe by asking for pineapple instead, but I didn’t. I ended up with hardly any pizza sauce at all this time. It was mostly bland until the round edge crust, which is wear a glob of pizza sauce made it pizza.
The sparse sauce part is disappointing, but at least you saw the cute guy. =)
