I’m getting a window shopping vibe.
Do you see skyscrapers in the distance? As if they’re reflected in the window? Is it a New York State of Mind? =)
He could be in a really high up hotel room, pondering the view, but also plotting a window shopping spree.
I didn’t see them as skyscrapers, but as reflections of buildings and power lines behind him, though I can now.
For me, it’s probably like seeing a sliver of Manhattan from Jersey. In fog.
I get what you mean about the Manhattan skyline. It definitely seems like looking out of a window.
I rarely envision such things in his paintings, so this one caught my eye.
