“Here’s to the lens in which you see the world!” Geri wrote when she sent this adorable ornament of tiny retro spectacles for my birthday in March. They make me smile and help me keep writing the world I see through the lens of my imagination.
Another shot next to a nickel to help show how small they are.
Writing these novels has been an interesting journey and is ongoing.
Been holding on to this one since April 18.
Glasses are cute and the cartoon is spot on!
I can’t believe the news coming out of the US again. The gun lobby won’t yield, though, until there’s no-one left standing. So incredibly sad.
That cartoon…
Every time, I think, “When will it be enough? Where is the tipping point?” And what we get back is “thoughts and prayers.”
Precisely what I thought: thoughts and prayers. Oh, and the gun lobby also says more guns! They said that to Virginia Tech, the Colorado grade school shootings, the religion places shootings, the malls, the shops, the bases, the shootings, the shootings, the shootings, …
I’ve done a second post to recognize the victims of Virginia Tech.
Thank you
hugs
this stuff still makes me cry
You honor the lost with your emotions. Hugs to you.
Now that I am a more permanent member of the four eyes club, I still can’t imagine trying to wear those tiny frames! I wonder if they would have saved me from the iStrain screens. I can, however, find a typing Snoopy that they would fit better.
I have a Snoopy who could wear them, too. I’ll have to photograph that sometime. (I’ve had him since I was seventeen or eighteen, and he recently made an appearance in the Neverending Saga.)
