Regret. She’s in a bar telling a robot the thing she regrets most in life. She so needs to tell it that it doesn’t matter that the bartender isn’t human. Also the regret is NOT the husband that she buried in the backyard. She’s okay with that. I like Mood Monday
You like Mood Monday in general, or you like theorizing on the moods depicted in specific art pieces?
i think it’s a great idea. I think that its a way to show how different opinions and and thoughts and interpretations can come from one piece of art. I like letting my imagination run wild and meeting different artists. I know this woman is not talking to a robot bartender about her biggest regret ( and I think that her biggest regret is something that she did to a friend in high school ) but my it was the first thing I thought … and then when I post my no cheating thoughts I can give it a goog and see what it really is. I have kinda gotten into Art lately … Jim went through the Dali with me and I understand his artwork more … and last month we saw the Picasso and I am not big into cubism, but now i understand it … and I don’t really like Picasso, but I can appreciate it. I am verry pedestrian in my art choices. It’s good for me to see different things even if they don’t become favorites … I had to read a piece I wrote at a gallery based on a piece of art I saw there. I loved it. It’s a good thing for my creativity … so I like everything about it. You are teaching me about art
That’s great! There’s a lot of art not to my taste, but I still can appreciate it. Also, I like where it fits in to the larger culture or different art schools or movements.
Then again, there are some things I’m never going to like or see as art, but I just don’t talk about those, especially if those artists are laughing (at their audience?) all the way to the bank.
PS I learned about this guy a couple of weeks ago when I was at the Dali. He and Pablo hung out for a few years painting cubes
I’ve mentioned Braque a few times over the years on my blog. He’s among my favorite artists. I first discovered him at MFA Houston, which houses my favorite painting of his. =)

the overwhelming chaos at a bar mood when what was desired was a quiet, calm soothing break
Probably should have chosen the Holiday Inn lounge instead of happy hour in hell. Wait. Those might be the same thing.
In some hotels, yes they definitely are the same thing, especially the LAX Marriott.
I miss L.A. I look forward to going there again some day. I need to do a lot of research by car. Fortunately, I have a writing partner there who loves to drive. I feel like the Marriott won’t be on the agenda, though. =)

It’s a very busy scene. Does the busyness of the bar reflect the multitude of thoughts tumbling through her mind?
Perhaps. The painting’s title is “The Patience.” She seems to be dealing with a lot, internally and externally.
