Nuts and satsumas – it looks like you are all set!
This takes me back to all the Christmases from when I was growing up, especially when we had fireplaces. Hanging out in the room with a fire going, whatever family was home or visiting sitting there, too, shelling pecans and eating them with orange or tangerine slices and squares of Hershey’s chocolates. THE BEST–especially when my father would shell the pecans for me. But I’d shell them, too, for anyone who wanted them, and still will.
I’ve put this on the blog before–Daddy and Cousin Bruce in 1973.
Wow. That was my second Christmas. I was six days old for the first one.
