I believe I should keep you informed that November 14 is Pickle Day.
For some reason, often when Debby and I sit around and talk and reminisce, we discuss “The Andy Griffith Show.” We can crack each other up recounting favorite episodes, and recently, we went through the one with Aunt Bee’s pickles. Her pickles were awful, but no one wanted to tell her, so they switched them out for Clara’s prizewinning pickles. Hilarity ensued, naturally.
I think Debby and I are good candidates to be crazy old Southern ladies. Or… We’re already there.
I have never seen that show. I don’t know if it was ever shown over here, but it was a bit before my time.

The first run shows were ahead of my TV watching time, too. Those, and maybe even the later shows, I mostly saw in syndication as a teen or adult.
