Funny thing is, people say you can’t tell others are smiling when they’re wearing a mask. If their eyes don’t smile, you didn’t know even when you could see their mouths.
I noticed a coworker’s smiling eyes because he had a mask on. I never really noticed them before, because he was always very serious and very difficult to make smile never mind laugh.
I did once, when he was clearly in deep thought while climbing up the stairs at work. I was just about to exit the stairway when I saw him coming up the second half. I pretended I was smuggling him inside looking all around the door and let it slowly close telling him to hurry. That was was the biggest grin I ever saw him make, and that was before the masks and virus.
Now that we have masks to battle the virus, he did smile at me once with his eyes with that mask covering his mouth.
PS- The 2000’s can now legally drink, and 2020 was just them sneaking into parties!
Happy New Year, and please you 2000’s, in 2021, practice safe sex and wear a mask.
Oddly, we used to blur the eyes of photos to protect the identy of the person. Have we now become better at recognizing people just by their eyes?
