I’ve gotten a little behind blogging because I’m trying to take care of pre-Christmas things while also writing and cooking and other stuff of daily life.
I’ve completed two small art projects and shipped them–can’t share until the recipients let me know they’re there. These have prepared me for what I hope will be new creative endeavors in 2021.
WHO KNEW (okay, Mark and Marika, don’t answer) that a person could actually start sending Christmas cards BEFORE Christmas? Rather than in March and April, as in years past. They are going out in shifts, and these are Batches 2 and 3 and will be mailed during the weekend.
It’s like I don’t even know myself.
In my organizing and purging project, I found a set of cards that were once made for me by a friend, Clara. This one went out this week to another friend. Isn’t it pretty? I have a couple more, and actually, the little holder she also made for them, which is lovely, and all those will be going out soon, too, to spread some happiness. Clara isn’t making cards right now, but when she starts again, I’ll have to replenish my collection.
I sent my first cards on 30th November. Just sayin’.
I meant to ask – are you happy for me to take a pic of the artwork you sent me and post it on my blog?
Every year I mean to make my own Christmas cards – and every year, it comes round way too quickly! Maybe next year..?
I can’t imagine making my own Christmas cards, but I’ll bet yours would be beautiful. Next year, maybe my goal will be to start mailing them on November 30. BE LIKE MARK.
It would be fine if you you share the artwork. I’ll probably share it on here, too, when I know the other piece has arrived to its destination. I was really excited you received it before Christmas and on your birthday, especially since the problem last year. For once, 2020 didn’t act all contrary.
