I’m not sure why this song keeps running through my mind. All I know is that I’m very glad this girl came into our lives in 2008. Tim responded to a Craig’s List ad about an injured dog needing a foster home to recover and rest. That’s how he met EZ, and so many good things came of it.
She was with Tim and Rex for nearly a year before she was adopted. Then she spent several years with Ryan in the perfect setup for a dog who didn’t want to be around other dogs or children.
When Ryan and Crystal started their family, she was adopted by our very good friend Steve, where she could be an only dog in Colorado. They were made for each other. They brought out each other’s best, appreciated each other’s quirkiness, and shared a true bond of love and respect.
Yesterday her age finally caught up with her, and Steve gave her a gentle and loving goodbye.
Thank you, EZ, for all you brought to all of our lives. You were truly one of a kind. Run free, sweet girl, with a sentimental, gentle wind singing love to you.
Oh, bless her heart. I remember her well. She’s gambolling around the Elysian Fields with all her friends who have gone before her. Have fun, missus.
That’s the way I always like to think of the ones who’ve left us. You were reading Tim and me when she came to him. I miss his blog.
I miss his blog too. It’s a shame he gave it up. Does he still write at all?
