Our gifts never made it under the tree and were stacked on the larger, formal dining table. So I found our old tablecloth which could be from pre-flood or post-flood, I have no damn idea anymore, and covered the smaller table with it.
These napkins Lynne gave me at Christmas last year dressed it up.
After the feast, it was time for dessert! I’d found this ornament at the same time I found the Mary Poppins one the other night. It opens on the bottom with a place for batteries, so I didn’t want to put it on the cake–thus the little plate plonked on top of the birthday cake.
Happy birthday, Tom!
It was a relaxed, fun night with Debby, Tim, Tom and me, plus three dogs (Jack stayed at Aunt Debby’s so he wouldn’t menace Tim). There will be more photos to come.
Hope everyone is having a good holiday season with your family, chosen family, and friends. Including that random stranger who kept texting me even after I told him I was not the droid he was looking for.
How lovely. I’m glad you all had a good time.
Thanks!
