I highly recommend that you be born into or marry into an artistic family. I was lucky enough to experience both.
This birthday card, and the bookmarks next to it, were made by my mother-in-law using pictures on the card and the middle bookmark from the collection of flora and fauna photographed by her and my father-in-law. So much beautiful nature.
Recently I had reason to look through the Flickr album of my old Compound photos, and we had so many more flowers and plants there than here! I’m not sure why that is. But last weekend, before my birthday, while I did animal rescue work, Lynne did housecleaning (which she hates, so you know what a favor that is to me), then worked outside cleaning off our patio and getting rid of dead plants, dividing new plants into more pots with good soil, and generally sprucing up the place. Plus she washed 40 tons of pollen from everything, which means I could breathe better for a while. So in addition to being born and marrying into good families, I advise you find friends who take pity on you and your home. =)
