Tiny Tuesday!

The original Hair Fair Barbie sets in 1967-68, 1969-70, and 1971-72 didn’t contain dolls. They had a doll head, to be used on our existing Barbie bodies, with several wigs and hair extensions to provide different looks. I know I never had a set, and if I had any of the wigs as part of the dolls and accessories that came to me through the years, I didn’t know they were Hair Fair wigs.

This 50th anniversary set, released in 2017, does include a doll. I love that 60s groove in fashion, jewelry, and makeup. I’d have had so much fun with this as a kid. I need to find my flower power fashions I sewed a few years back and pair them with these hair choices.

Oh, Barbie, you little doll.
