Current Photo Friday theme: Skyline
Every little piece of skyline in Manhattan is special to someone for some reason.
Now that my photo albums are back home where they belong, I’m going to be using them for some of these Photo Friday challenges. It’s fun to look back at the days when I shot with film. This was taken on my first trip to New York City in February 1998. Considering all the amazing skyline shots in the world of NYC, this one isn’t impressive. But it still thrills me. I took it from my hotel room looking at Madison Square Garden. I love remembering my first time in Manhattan, navigating how to hail a taxi, using the subway, and walking–SO MUCH WALKING–mostly solo. And then there were all the outings with James, who flew with me from Houston and stayed with his sister, and my first meetings with Tim and Timmy (and Michael and Jean-Marc) and all the fun things we did.
