I had to leave transport early so I could go to a memorial service for the husband of a dear person brought into my life by the rescue group. My heart is breaking for her and her family, and I’m grateful I was able to go and support her thanks to my colleague Ashley. Ash agreed to take over my camera and finish shooting photos of the remaining dogs and cats and get some group shots after I left.
There was a lot of sadness in the day, and it was punctuated by severe thunderstorms in the afternoon that had all the Houndstooth pack on edge. When I was finally able to sit down and upload the photos from my camera, I found this shot Ashley took. We were visited by players from a new major league rugby team at transport, the Houston Sabercats.
Y’all, I think I’m going to have to learn about rugby and start going to games.
Do you blame me?
Thank you, Ashley. Thank you, Sabercats, for your interest in the rescue group and the well-being of animals.
Rugby is reasonable big here. The World Cup is being hosted by Japan next year.
