The US seems to be getting a bucketful this year.
It’s hard to watch the news about Florida and Hurricane Irma. I’ll be glad when hurricane season is over.
My brother should be facing the same thing now. He always has to be right, even when he is wrong. Apparently, since the eye of the storm was predicted to move along the gulf side, he decided the ocean side (where he is) wouldn’t be affected. So, I gave up trying to get him to visit the desert instead (he will never do that anyway and sometimes I don’t blame him as I would rather be in CO or San Francisco or San Diego). I send him links to the sites and maps I use to do my own amature weather forecasts, and I’m rather impressed by the European model this year. So, I hope his hubby and their dog are safe.
I hope they’re all safe, too. Through my decades in Texas, I’ve been through hurricane winds, power outages, and floods. I wish no one had to.
