When I met Stan Musial,
THAT sounds like a great moment!
My dad took me to Dodger Stadium (aka Chavez Ravine) when I was five to see the Cardinals play the Dodgers, Stan’s last season – just so I could say I saw Musial play. Dodgers won 2-1 in fourteen. My dad, my uncle, my cousins, and I wandered around the parking lot looking for our car for about an hour-and-a-half. After fourteen innings, they’d had a couple too many and couldn’t remember where they’d parked. Meeting “Stan the Man” must have been something on a whole other level.
I don’t really have a favorite sports moment. But, if I unlock a few memories, I can say Mikey played well at pool, soccer, etc.
Junior year, sitting in the bleachers with a boy we will call ANON., watching my high school team . the tigers kicking Grey Ghost butt, and having him very casually hold m hand, and both of us pretending nothing was going on.
Watching Jess play in the 1AA football national championship game in Chattanooga. It was a loss, but we all have great memories.
Um. Um.
I’m so not into sport.
I think Violet Crawley makes drawing rooms a sport, if that counts!
