I like the cool floor and ceiling. The room has a nice mid-century modern vibe.
The Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel in New Orleans is in the running with the Omni Royal as my favorite place to stay there. Built in 1925, renovated in 2001, I agree some of the public areas could be used in scenes with Don Draper (you probably don’t watch “Mad Men”).
Maybe I was thinking to literal, but the only idea I had for a “darkness” theme was the reminder that a phone (these days) will obsessively take pictures of a jeans’ pocket. You won’t get that from ye olde tyme rotary phone.
I like the atmosphere the darkness gives with the reflections from the outside window light onto the floor.
There are several public areas as you walk down the long hallway from the parking garage to the hotel lobby of the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel in New Orleans. This is one of them. I really loved the look of this hotel.
I was going to ask if it was a power meeting at Houndstooth Hall, but it looks too much like a hotel…
