I certainly enjoyed reading the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which seems to be in a genre all on its own. Yes, I read programming language books. And, then there’s the Foolish Hearts books… UGH! I can’t decide!
Other than the programming language books, I’m with you! =)
I like lighthearted mysteries … Dash is a fan of Jack London.
That Dash…
Suspense
If I read the books you do, I’d never sleep at night!
Lately, fantasy and nothing but fantasy.
I can’t remember–are you an Anne Rice reader? Planning to get the new Lestat book in a couple of days? (I’m SO hoping I like this one.)
Totally by mood – Uplifting fiction or mystery.
I need to read a little less mystery, I think. I’m sick right now (just a bad cold), and my dreams are crrrrazy!
Biographies and Techno-thrillers.
I used to read so many biographies. For a while now, all I’ve wanted is escape reading.
fantasy; although i am picky about it – i want to be entertained when i have the time to read but i want the story well-written. Must have something to do with a life-long friendship with a great author…
Do you still read before you fall asleep? I have to do that, though I’m finally able to read just a few pages and put the book down. Younger me would just keep reading all night and suffer the consequences the next day.
yes – until the book falls in my face or the floor…
Ha ha–just like old times.
God, how I miss reading for pleasure. Seven more months of text books and then “Beach books, here I come!”
Yay for only seven more months. Then you come to Houston to work, right? 😉
Houston is on the short list!
It’s a good thing!
Factual or fiction?
Factual: Historical biography.
Fiction: Mystery, I guess.
It’s funny how I read and enjoyed mysteries when I was young because my parents had so many on the bookshelves. Then for a long time, I didn’t read them. Now they’re my favorite escape, but mostly the cozies. I don’t like the really violent or suspenseful kind. I love humorous ones.
I like historical biographies, as well.
