I often think that the way humans become mesmerized by watching machines (like cranes) at work transcends all boundaries of gender, race, age, socio-economic status–machines make us all kids again.
The concrete is one or two levels of parking and the wood frame will be four or five floors of condos. They’re popping up all over as if half of Houston was homeless and rich.
Looked it up. Like Tom said, bottom floors are parking garage, then four to five floors of apartments above it, perhaps 140-150 units in all. I call these new apartment complexes popping up all over mid- and near-town “pre-slums.”
