It is impressive glass. I wonder what the water will look like in the rain as it rolls down the sides. I never got closer than from the view of the tower of London or at the Tate museum across the river. But, I noticed that since the last time I visited London, the more modern complexes have more glass, just aching for a visit from all those old buildings around made of stone.
I’ve never been to London, and I think I would go for all the old stuff–and I LOVE stone. But sometimes the modern glass and steel add to a city’s appeal.

Looking at The Shard in progress, it really towers over London! (Excuse the pun.) What was your impression of it? Did you like it so far?
