While working in the yard, Tom found this mushroom, most likely a Geastrum triplex (collared earthstar) (rounded earthstar). Allegedly, if you poke that little puffball, spores are released.
Who goes there? Please leave comments so (An Aries Knows)!

Well for the love of science, poke it!
Nope; it’s gone. The last thing we need with five dogs running The Compound grounds is a bounty of inedible mushrooms.
oh .. nice tat on the unicorn
She came that way.
I was trying out a new app on my iPhone called Snapseed and shot a photo of her, then tweeted that I was playing with Snapseed. Now I want to CALL her Snapseed, because it would be a cool unicorn name. But that might be akin to naming a dragon “Facebook” or an elf “MySpace.”
You could name her “Popcorn”. There’s a snap and it is a seed. hmmm??
And you have no idea how much I LOVE eating popcorn.
I think FaceCook would be a good name for a fire breathing dragon
I sit here with a silly smirk, not wanting to LOL and wake up Mlle. Renee.
If you wake up Renee laughing at Marika, Marika will owe her a treat! (A low-cal treat, of course!)
That’s pretty cool! But you’re right, dogs and mushrooms don’t go together! If you get Snapseed, let us know how you like it! I’ve had a blast playing with the photo editing apps on my phone!
Thanks!
I downloaded Snapseed but haven’t played with it much yet. I’m thinking I’ll be able to breathe and have some photo fun again in January. I hope!
