Treat me nice, treat me good, treat me like you really should, for I’m not made of wood, and I don’t have a wooden heart.
I don’t know; sometimes you just have an Elvis moment
Treat me nice, treat me good, treat me like you really should, for I’m not made of wood, and I don’t have a wooden heart.
my favorite Elvis song — by my favorite version Elvis. Had I been a teen then….

I LOVE that special. Also:
you can’t fool me by sticking the rebel in there. Seeing him in that special – well I know why he was a star. I know he had his troubles, but I love him.
My Dad used to tell this story about how he met my mom, and why she married him, well actually he told three stories, one of which was the truth … but one of them, that was shall we say “more creative” then the others was that my mom married him because he told her he lived next door to Elvis Presley … which pissed my Mom off, but not as much as one of the other stories, that I will tell at a later date. Anyway, I asked my Dad if it was true and he said he did! And I just loved that my Dad was Elvis’s next door neighbor, like they hung out by the fence during breaks from mowing the lawn talking about fishing. I believed it for the longest time. If he were alive today, my Dad would say that was not a lie because it didn’t hurt anyone, it made everyone (except my Mom) look good, and made someone happy.
My favorite Elvis songs…
One Night With You
Kentucky Rain
You Don’t Know Me – to be fair this is one of my favorite songs period, so it don’t matter who sings it.
Elvis song that reminds me of Becky – Promised Land
My mother used to sing it while she did stuff in the kitchen, but her version was slower and softer, which is how I sing it. It’s always jarring for me to hear it by Elvis.
My favorite Elvis song is probably “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You,” though “Love Me Tender” is right up there.
