I saw the weather report tonight and it showed the range of temperatures for your area. You have my deepest sympathy. You are having a VERY long, VERY hot season of “not winter”.
And dry, dry, dry. We had sod laid recently; I shudder to think of what my next water bill will be!
Thanks for the sympathy. Does it come with rain?!?
Tea wouldn’t help much, would it? Oh well.
At this point, I believe our parched earth would like anything. The other night, Tim poured the leftover (cooled) water from my corn-on-the-cob on the grass. Generations of my waste-not-want-not ancestors cheered from their graves.
Would you believe it was actually hotter in Saint Louis than it was in Houston today? 99F — beat you by 2 degrees. How’s the humidity? Ours is like walking through a Russian steam bath.
I don’t know. I refused to go outside today. But it sounds like you were definitely experiencing a Gulf Coast day.
I think it’s hot here, but when one is asleep during much of the day, then inside at work for the rest, one never knows. Nope. Just checked the weather and forecasts and what with the rain we’ve been getting, it’s kept it under 90. sorry. I’d send some if I could.
Maybe just your generous thoughts will push some rain our way.
