I first became aware of this effort to honor WWII veterans through a friend on LiveJournal. Today, my cousin sent me this link. Since I can’t watch the trailer without weeping, I have no idea how I’ll watch the entire film in November. Then again, it seems like a small thing to do for the men and women who sacrificed so much. I deplore war, but I can’t imagine how my world would look today without my father and those who served when he did. Thank you.
Stumbled upon episode of American Experience on PBS last night that was letters from soldiers & their stories, from all different wars. Probably best to watch while home alone, not when the husband’s asleep ~right there~
Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome. Some things you just have to watch with an entire box of Kleenex next to you.
