They’ve stopped posting predictions until December 19, but I happened to click on my link at just the right time. I apologize to all of you who hate Todd’s “Spit of Satan,” but Old Faithful is such a showoff in the winter. I caught it when the eruption itself isn’t even that high, but the combination of cold air and steam makes for a stunning view.

I looked this morning, but nothing was happening then. I clicked on the Jackson Hole town square last night. It’s pretty because they have some snow and then the trees and antler arch have christmas lights.
(Not that anybody cares, but) I read the other day that they will be further limiting snowmobile travel in Yellowstone. I’m really glad I got to go when I did. It remains one of my favorite memories.
