The Dog Whisperer and the Princess

Margot is a good dog, but she has issues. Even though she’s been in a loving home for many years now, living on the street left its scars. She hates loud noises; thunderstorms and fireworks are particularly hard for her. She gets along great with Guinness, but with other dogs, her timidity and playfulness are in conflict. This often causes her to charge and snarl at Rex, who can’t understand Margot’s moodiness when he tries to engage her in a game.

She got in trouble with the Dog Whisperer for her behavior during one of these incidents, and here’s what happened afterward.

I’m in time out, but I don’t care.

Is he starting to smile at me yet? Maybe I care a little.

Okay, I guess I’m sorry.

That Other Dog isn’t so bad. But I think I’ll just stay on his lap for a while anyway.

  1. Aw! Picture #3! 🙂 Whenever I had to discipline Chopper, he’d grovel, look up at me, make these pathetic whining noises, and then – I kid you not – cover his face with his paws.

It was impossible to discipline Chopper. You laughed too much.

    1. That’s how Rex acts when he’s in trouble; he’ll do every trick he knows and then roll over on his back with his stupid paws in the air, while banging his tail on the floor and widening his eyes so he looks like one of those big-eyed children painting we made fun of in HE’S THE ONE. You can’t give in, though. Otherwise they win.

  2. HA!

don’t you hate when you’re trying to be stern and discipline them and then they’re so cute so you have to laugh?!

her blue collar looks lovely on her, by the way. 🙂
