Q&A with… me!

With a concept inspired by Shawn Lea at Everything and Nothing, the self-interview provides the opportunity to answer questions originally posed to someone else.

I’m taking the following questions from 20 Questions with documentary filmmaker Jenn Garrison on Quirkee.com.

Q: What did you eat for breakfast today?

Four vanilla wafers, a glass of water, and a cup of coffee

Q: Who inspires you?

People with integrity, humor, and compassion

Q: When was the last time you talked to your mother?

6 p.m. Saturday

Q: Are you a morning person or an evening person?

Yes

Q: Cold beer, red wine or frozen margarita?

coffee and water, please

Q: Where is your favorite place to visit?

The Northeast

Q: If you had superpowers but could only accomplish one of the following, which would it be? Save the environment? Cure for A.I.D.S.? Stop world hunger?

Cure for AIDS

Q: What album do you put on while you work?

random play from my iTunes library

Q: In five o’clock traffic, another driver cuts you off. Do you: A)shoot them the finger while screaming B)apply your brakes, turn on your indicator, and pull off the highway to safety C)ram your car into the nearest object while laughing hysterically?

I slow down and keep my distance from an obviously stupid, dangerous, or demented driver. Let ’em have the road; I’ve got nothing to prove.

Q: What is sexy to you?

Intelligence

Q: Is $150 too much to spend for a hotel?

A whole hotel for $150? Sweet!

Q: What was the one disciplinary action your parents used that really worked?

“I’m so disappointed in you…”

Q: What words of wisdom did your father share with you? Was it good advice?

Now you know what it feels like to get a “D” so you don’t have to do it again. Yes.

Q: Do you have more possessions or items in your life than you can handle comfortably?

Almost

Q: Favorite song to do a karaoke number to?

I’ve only sung karaoke once, to Guns ‘N Roses “Welcome to the Jungle”

Q: What is the meaning of life?

Whenever I asked a similar question, I was always told, “Look it up.”

Q: Pearly gates in heaven or a cold place in the ground?

Neither.

Q: How do you feel about the idea of decriminalizing drugs in the U.S.?

Drug laws seem arbitrary to me. Why is alcohol legal, but not pot? Why can a doctor prescribe a narcotic for pain, but marijuana can’t be prescribed for the people whose suffering it could help? Crazy and random.

Q: The Simpsons or The Flintstones?

Simpsons.

Q: Finally, if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d have all three of the superpowers listed in question seven.

  1. No one should ever have to choose between The Flintstones and The Simpsons….that is just wrong. They are each wonderful to me in their own way….just wrong I tell you, wrong……..

  2. I hate the Flinstones because Fred was such an ASS to Barney. He and Wilma thought they were SO superior to the Rubbles. I can do a Betty laugh though.

As for “look it up” I always got that when I asked how to spell a word. It made no sense to me because I needed to know how to spell it to do that.
