1. STFU
2. When someone shows you who they are …. believe them the first time.
3. When I needed a hand to hold, I found a paw.
I’m with you on #1, Marika!
Well, somewhere in my top three would be “Don’t fuck with the night nurse.” =)
I went to hit the like button … and there wasn’t one
Ha!
Oh, yes. Number two is especially sound advice!
Agreed!
My favorite piece of advice was (originally) from my grandmother. I still give it as advice (when warranted) over 25 years, later.
You live and die by your choices…so you’d better make the choices you can live with.
Holy. Goodness.
…it’s been over *31 years* since she gave me that advice… O.o
I’ve given this a few times myself–or a variation thereof. I try really hard not to give advice these days–and recently told Jim to let me know when I stop being the older person with some wisdom to impart to just being the older person who won’t shut up. =)
Apparently #1 and judging by the first impression are now too popular 🙁
“Wear sunscreen.”
Oh, you can’t imagine how I wish I’d heeded that last in my younger years.
“You can’t change what you’ve done, but what you do next is very important.” (Been at Mrytle Beach for the last nine days, so I’m catching up on Becky stuff. Sunshine and lots of seafood: reminds me of youth and carefree days on the beaches of SoCal.)
A well-deserved vacation! And that is good advice.
