30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 10

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “8 Bit.”

The Ram lets the kids kick it old school during a break from filming Super Mario Brothers.

Thanks to Tom for the props, because I didn’t know “8 Bit” from an interdimensional hole that could take me to an alternate universe where dinosaur descendants rule and plumbers are heroes. On second thought, plumbers are heroes in this dimension, as well.

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 5

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Clouds.”

The Ram directs the characters Princess Leia and Darth Vader during a visit to Cloud City in The Empire Strikes Back.

Other Day 5 creations can be seen here.

Thank you to Tom for the use of the M&M’S® Star Wars ornaments, a gift from his sister Janet. Also, full disclosure, I looked at this guy’s far superior rendition of Cloud City on my iPhone to get a clue of how Cloud City looked, since in my case, one has to see a movie TWO dozen times instead of just a dozen to do it from memory.

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 1

This is my third year to create something every day in June for 30 Days of Creativity. Sometimes I’ve followed the themes on the site’s calendar; usually I’m more random. This year, I’m in desperate need of something silly and fun (just using a term like “desperate need” should be a clue), so I’ve decided to go for whimsy with my little ram. Today’s suggested theme was “Friday: “Which seat can I take?” Every Aries Ram will tell you: the director’s chair!

It’ll be interesting to see if I can come up with a movie to illustrate every daily theme using the ram, some dolls, and a 30-minute-or-less sketch. As for the sketches, as my co-players in “Draw Something” could tell you, drawing is not my strong suit. That’s part of what makes it fun for me–I’ve got nothing to prove, just want to enjoy it! I hope y’all enjoy it, too. And maybe even–CREATE!
