30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 18

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Yellow.” At first, I vaguely mentioned doing something based on the movie I Am Curious (Yellow), even though I was way too young to see that one. I probably still am.

However, Lindsey gave me a [figurative] thunk on the head and said, “HELLO? Beatles fan? Yellow Submarine?”

Of course. And as I mentioned earlier, today is Sir Paul McCartney’s birthday.

The Ram directs a scene from Yellow Submarine. Monster High’s Abbey, Cleo, Frankie, and Operetta can’t really fill out the Fab Four’s suits; but then again, who ever could?

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 17

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Pop.” Though using pop as another word for “father” wasn’t included in the description, it is Father’s Day in the U.S.

The Ram directs a scene from Father of the Bride. Monster High’s Draculaura is escorted by Gerald O’Hara (Scarlett’s father!) in his period attire. But at Lindsey’s request, I went with the movie’s 1991 remake instead of the 1950 original just so I could put the bride in sneakers.

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 15

Halfway there! Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Monster.”

Today, the Ram steps off the movie set to take on the small screen, directing The Twilight Zone Season 2, Episode 6: “The Eye of the Beholder.”

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 14

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Quotation Marks.”

The Ram directs a scene from the movie He Said, She Said.

I’ll admit that early in the month, when I was in the planning stages for the Ram’s movies, I saw today’s theme and was stumped. It was Tom who suggested this 1991 Kevin Bacon movie.

“Good idea,” I said. “Is that the one with Elizabeth Perkins and Alec Baldwin?”

“No,” Rhonda said. “You’re thinking of [1988’s] She’s Having a Baby with Elizabeth McGovern.”

“Oh, yeah.”

What is it with Kevin Bacon, romantic comedies, and Elizabeths?

Thanks, imdb.com, for giving me a photo of the movie’s set-within-a-set to work from.

30 Days of Creativity: Day 12

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “String.”

The Ram directs a scene from the movie Pinocchio.

Do not question the Ram’s casting choice.

  • Who knows better whether stars can be wished on than Spock?
  • Who’s better at making wooden actors look good than Spock?
  • Who shares a March 26 birthday with me but that famous ram, Leonard Nimoy?

30 Days of Creativity 2012: Day 11

Today’s theme from 30 Days of Creativity is “Orange.”

The Ram directs a scene from the movie A Clockwork Orange.

I personally never watched more than the first bit of this movie because it disturbed me so much. I suppose that was the point.

Thanks to Tom for helping me add a touch of steam punk to Ghoulia’s eye and to Starbucks for her cane.
