Peace of mind

I’m about to find out if shutting down almost all social media has the effect I think it will. If anyone misses me in those other places, I’m always here. I love so many people and think they’re wonderful, but sometimes a person has to do what’s best for her mental, physical, and spiritual health. There’s no big drama here, just the need for something more peaceful where I can breathe.

  1. most of us would benefit from unplugging. I remember (yep, i am old) the days before everyone had to be connected all the time to everything. And you could be unreachable…

Not long ago i forgot my phone – left it at home. ALL DAY. it was great.

Relax people. the world will continue to turn. God is still in control. Breathe. unplug. love.

  2. Several folks I know are leaving social media for the nonce. I’m glad to know you’ll still be on the web for your blog. Even though I don’t comment often, i’d miss you if you disappeared completely.

  3. I’ve been off social media for months. I don’t tweet. I don’t share. I don’t like. I don’t Gab. I don’t instagram. I even changed my email to an encrypted server that sits in Norway. The only people who have my email address are those to whom I intentionally give it. No clutter. No spam. No distractions. Especially, no irritating opinion posts that drive me crazy.

  4. Never liked terse twitter/facebook.

I’m not an English major; I have a limited attention span, but I’d rather read blog entries than depressing terse.

So, I’m glad you imply staying here.

  5. I hope it’s working for you? You seem to have been on overload recently.

And I hope you will always be here. There may be long gaps between my visits, but I will always come back.
