This twelve-plus-foot tall bust of Lincoln, resting on a 30-foot tall granite pedestal, is sculpted of bronze but gleams golden on the highway outside Laramie, Wyoming.

  1. Someday, I want to visit this place. We had the Laramie Project production at Virginia Tech, and It was so very sad.

    1. It’s very strange. I had totally forgotten that shortly after traveling through that area in the winter of…maybe 2000? I wrote a poem about Matthew Shepard. As I drove through there this time, more of the poem came back to me in bits and pieces. I need to find that poem.
