Recently, since I discovered the recipe a year ago floating around the Internet, I must admit it’s Oat Fudge Bars. Though the weather the past few days has been cold, windy and some snow, so I would probably make sweet and sour pork (without all those pesky yucky additives you get at cheap take-a-ways.) The sauce is like a soup of tomatoes, minced ginger, chopped spring onions, soy sauce, vinegar…
There is a recipe that my sister and I once gleaned from one of our mother’s cookbooks with a particular oatmeal cookie recipe. Neither of us has it, and nothing I’ve ever found comes close to it.
But Oat Fudge Bars sound like they might provide culinary consolation.

i guess it depends on the occasion and the people. I like to cook for people that enjoy what i have prepared.

Mac and cheese. Chocolate chip cookies. Cheese straws. Lil fries. Everything beef. Cornbread. I feel like I’m forgetting something.
just made mac & cheese as part of dinner for neighbor that is moving (a breaded chicken dish, mac & cheese, roasted veggies and vanilla pound cake) … it was yummy.
My staple was spaghetti bolognese made with pretend meat. Now that Chris does the cooking our guests get a much varied diet!
