  1. There was a time when I would have said It’s A Wonderful Life … but after a recent viewing I have started to see it in a different light … So I am going with ELF, which is delightful … and SCROOGED.

    1. The only time I watched Elf, someone in the room knew every line of dialogue and spoke along through the entire movie. That kind of tarnishes the experience. =(

There are so many movies on Neflix that I want to watch right now, but I have no time to watch them. With any luck, January will be an easier month.

      1. Movie “talkers” are very inconsiderate. I have never understood why someone would want to tarnish your viewing experience.

      2. was that Juliann?

if not, she would do the same thing. Lila was on an Elf kick for a while last year.

Christmas Vacation; A (The?) Christmas Story (you’ll shoot your eye out); Santa Claus; Prancer; so many!

  2. It may not be a movie, but my absolute all time favorite is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Of course I mean the 1966 cartoon and not the Jim Carrey movie, which is pretty low on my list.

      1. Do you know the part where he smiles that evil smile? That’s my favorite part. I know I have smiled that way.

  3. Without a doubt it would have to be A CHRISTMAS STORY. It captured many of my childhood Christmas memories, and i double-dog dare you to say it didn’t. Followed by A CHRISTMAS CAROL 1951 starring Alister Sim and the best filmed version of the tale.

    1. “A Christmas Story” is a favorite. I still laugh when I think of Tom saying to Pixie as she eyed a turkey on the kitchen counter, “Pixie, don’t be a Bumpus.”

  4. I love that “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” has become a holiday classic. Not quite in the same league as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Story,” but still very funny.

    1. We were about to watch something we’d recorded the other night, and when we turned on the TV, NLCV was on. It was hard to switch away from it!
