    1. I wonder if I would like Knodel. I just read all the variations of it. Do you know when I was growing up I wouldn’t go NEAR a dish of mac and cheese. Now I love it.

    1. That’s funny, because whenever my mother made roast beef hash, I just ate whatever sides she cooked. I don’t know why I didn’t like it.

  1. Chocolate! It’s gotta be real chocolate, like Green & Blacks, Ritter or Ghirardelli chocolateā€Ž. And in the winter, nothing beats a hot chocolate.

    1. Pinto beans and cornbread are part of one of my favorite meals that includes pork chops, fried okra, and sliced tomatoes on the side. (If fried corn is added to that, it’s pretty much perfect, but the only person who could ever fry corn the way I like it was my mother, so I know I’ll never have it again.)

  2. It’s got to be hot and homecooked, Southern-American food – pot roast with carrots & potatoes & gravy… cubed steak, rice & gravy (i think you should celebrate your new home by making this for me)… hamburger & fries… chocolate cake…mashed potatoes and gravy… seems like it must be gravy!
